Birmingham Giants 10u Second Tournament win

Following their first tournament victory, the Birmingham Giants 10u posted a 3-1 record on their way to winning their second tournament in as many weeks. In their first game of pool play, the Giants faced off with the Georgia Storm. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead, the Giant surrendered the next 5 runs in the 5-3 defeat. Alyana Morgan started the game in the circle, followed by Aubrey Liveoak and Kylie Snowden, who struck out the side in her inning of work. At the Plate, Alyana Morgan (1), Sophie Gromko (1), Kylie Snowden (1),  and Hailey Nichols (2b) all had hits for the Giants.

The second game of pool play, matched the Giants with Cherokee Pride. Kaydence Hays (2-0) took the circle, and allowed just 3 hits while striking out 3 for the 14-3 win. Offensively, the Giants received hits from Alyana Morgan (2, 1 HR), Sophie Gromko (2B), Aubrey Liveoak (1), Ava Brand (2), Kam Patton (1), Hailey Nichols (2, 1 HR), along with drawing 8 walks to push across their 14 runs.

The first bracket play again matched the Giants with the Cherokee Pride. Kaydence Hays (3-0) pitched 1.2 innings, allowing just 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 4, before being relieved by Kylie Snowden who pitched the final 2.1 innings not allowing a hit and striking out 5.  Alyana Morgan (1), Kaydence Hays (1), Kylie Snowden (1), and Ava Brand (1) all had hits for the Giants in the 6-1 win. The win propelled the Giants into their 2nd championship game in as many weeks.

Kylie Snowden (3-0) struck out 9 in 3 innings, while allowing just 2 runs, and the Giants offense a 10 hit, 13 run attack in the win. at the Plate Alyana Morgan (1), Piper Rowe (1), Sophie Gromko (2B), Aubrey Liveoak (1), Kylie Snowden (1), Ava Brand (1), Kam Patton (HR), Ryleigh Hall (1), and Hailey Nichols (1), and the Giants drew 8 more walks (Alyana Morgan 1, Piper Rowe 1, Sophie Gromko 2, Aubrey Liveoak 1, Kylie Snowden 1, Chloe Condray 1, Ryleigh Hall 1)in the win.
