8u Birmingham Giants bring home championship

Playing in their second tournament since their return from the layoff, the Birmingham Giants posted a 3-1 mark, dropping only their first pool play game 8-7 before winning the championship game.

In game 1 of pool play the Giants faced off with the 8u Top gun team. In a close game the Giants dropped a nail bitter 8-7. Offensively the Giants recieved hits from Paisley Mullins (1), Addison Bailey (2), Autumn Ponds (1), Cree Brady (1), Kinley Seibert (1), Grace Turner (2), Hadley Msson 1), Emmy Parker (1), Kendal Burch (2), Hilton Ashe (2), Rylie Mann (1), and Brooklyn Davlin (1), but it was not enough in the loss.

In game 2 of pool play the Giants were matched up with the Mustangs. Scoring 11 runs in the first 2 innings put the game out of reach as the Giants finished with an 11-2 victory. Hits from Paisley Mullins (3), Addison Bailey (2), Autumn Ponds (1), Cree Brady (1), Kinley Seibert (2), Grace Turner (2), Hadley Msson (2), Emmy Parker (2), Kendal Burch (2), Hilton Ashe (1), Rylie Mann (1), and Brooklyn Davlin (1) powered the Giants offense.

The win sent the Giants to bracket play to square off with Nitro Softball. Again the Giants offense exploded for 12 runs in the first 2 innings to put the game out of reach, with a final score of 15-3. Paisley Mullins (3), Addison Bailey (3), Autumn Ponds (1), Cree Brady (2), Kinley Seibert (2), Grace Turner (2), Hadley Msson (1), Emmy Parker (2), Kendal Burch (2), Hilton Ashe (1), Rylie Mann (1), and Brooklyn Davlin (2) all had hits as the Giants advanced to the championship game to again face the Mustangs.

In the championship game, hits came from Paisley Mullins (3), Addison Bailey (3), Autumn Ponds (2), Cree Brady (3), Kinley Seibert (1), Grace Turner (2), Hadley Msson 1), Emmy Parker (2), Kendal Burch (2), Hilton Ashe (1), Rylie Mann (1), and Brooklyn Davlin (1) as the Giants rolled to a 17-4 win and brought home the title.
