The Birmingham Giants 10u Baseball posted a 3-1 mark on their way to a second place finish on Saturday. Leading off their day the Giants were scheduled to play the Knights. Jace Buford tossed his 3rd career no hitter and collected 6 strike outs along the way in the 16-0 win. Offensively Sawyer Vinson (1), Camdyn Webb (1), Phoenix Jones (1), Bryson Ball (2, 1 2B), Brandon Chappell (2), Corbin Beatty (1), Asher Jones (2, 1 3B), Mekhi Filmore (1) all had hits in the Giants win. In game 2 of pool play the Giants were paired up with the Vestavia Renegades. Sawyer Vinson struck out 4 over 4 innings while allowing No Hits, tossing the Giants 2nd consecutive No Hitter, a first for Birmingham Giants Baseball. At the plate Sawyer Vinson (1), Camdyn Webb (2B), and Bryson Ball (1) all had hits for Giants in the 8-0 win. The win move the Giants into Bracket seated the number 1 overall.
In their first bracket play game, the Giants were matched up with Stix. Brandon Chappll allowed just 4 runs over 5 innings, while striking out 7 and the Giants offense exploded for 16 runs on hits from Camden Webb (1), Bryson Ball (2), Brandon Chappell (1), Corbin Beatty (2B), Asher Jones (1), Mekhi Filmore (1), and Liam Veasey (1). The win moved the Giants into the Championship game with a 3-0 mark. In the championship game, the Giants defense faltered, allowing 11 unearned runs, but the Giants offense found 9 runs, but it was not enough. At the plate Sawyer Vinson (1), Camdyn Webb (1), Phoenix Jones (2), Corbin Beatty (1), Asher Jones (1), and Liam Veasey (1) all had hits for the Giants as they finished 2nd.
