Birmingham Giants 9u Baseball run fall record to 14-1

After their latest tournament a BPA, in Boaz alabama, the Birmingham Giants 9u Baseball team pushed its fall record to 14-1 with their 4-0 performance. In their first pool play game, Will Shoults started the game striking out 4 over 2 innings and Brons Anderson closed out the final 2 innings of the 16-5 win. At the plate Tanner Egan (1), Brayden Helms (1), Cam Buford (2), Will Shoults (2), Braeden Wainwright (2), Brons Anderson (1), Ethan Passmore (2), and Carson Mccrary (1) all had hits for the Giants as every player reached base atleast once in the victory.

In their second pool play game, the Giants were matched up with the dogs. Braeden Wainwright started the game on the mound, tossing 2 innings, striking out 3, before being relieved by Cam Buford. Buford struck out 3 over 2 innings of work, and Ethan Passmore closed out the game, striking out 2 in the final inning as the Giants held on for a 7-6 win. Tanner Egan (2), Brayden Helms (2), Braeden Wainwright (1), Mason Jones (1), Brons Anderson (1), Landon Coleman (1), and Crason Mccrary(1) all had hits for the Giants in the win. The win seated the Giants first overall going into bracket play.

Matching up with the 4 seed in their first bracket play game, the Giants faced off with five star elite. Brayden Helms started the game on the mound and after a few early runs, the Giants and Helms settled down to pull out an 8-7 win, after a five start scored a few runs late to make the game close. Offensively Tanner Egan (2), Brayden Helms (1), Cam Buford (2), Braeden Wainwright (1), Mason Jones (1), Brons Anderson (1), and Carson McCrary (1) all had hits for the Giants, as the 8-7 win moved the Giants into the Championship game.

In the Championship game, Ethan Passmore took the hill , striking out 10 over 4 innings as the Giants rolled past the Dirtbags 11-1. Tanner Egan (1), Brayden Helms (1), Cam Buford (1), Will Shoults (1), Braeden Wainwright (1), Mason Jones (2), Ethan Passmore (2) and Carson McCrary (1) all had hits to power the Giants to the championship.
