10u Birmingham Giants bring home championship.

The Birmingham Giants 10u Baseball team playing in the Perfect game tournament in Haleyville, rolled off 4 straight wins, raised their season record to 8-1 and brought home another championship. In game 1 of pool play the Giants defensive misques cost them 3 unearned runs in the 6-5 loss, their only on the day. At the plate hits from Ross Christy (1), Brody Flack (1), Brody Gowan (1), and Kam Laws(1) were not enough as the Giants fell 6-5.

In their second game of pool play the Giants faced off with the Predators. After leading 8-0 through 3 innings, the Giants coasted to an 8-3 win. Kodi Embry started the game on the mound, tossing 3 innings and Cooper Gilliam closed out the final inning for the win. The Giants pounded out 8 hits, led by Justin Hill (1), Ross Christy (1), Brody Flack (2), Taylen Johnson (1), Kodi Embry (1), Legend McMiller (1), and Cooper Gilliam (1). Finishing pool play 1-1 the Giants moved into bracket play as the 4th seed and again scheduled to play the Predators.

Kobe Embry started the game on the mound, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 7, and Brody Flack closed out the final inning on the 8-1 win. Justin Hill (2), Brody Gowan (1), Ross Christy (1), Taylen Johnson (2), Kodi Embry (1), and Kam Laws (1)all had hits for the Giants as the win moved them into the Semi Finals to face off with the Bulls.

After trailing early, the Giants used a 5 run 3rd inning to grab the lead for good in the 9-8 win. Brody Gowan started the game, and Taylen Johnson closed out the final 2 innings of the win. At the plate Justin Hill (2), Ross Christy (2, 1 2B), Brody Flack (2, 1 2B), Brody Gowan (3, 1 2B, HR), Kodi Embry (1) and Kam Laws(1) all had hits in the 9-8 victory. The win moved the Giants into the championship game.

Brody Flack started the game on the hill for the Giants in the Championship game, allowing just 1 hit while striking out 4. Offensively the Giants were led by Just Hill (3B), Kobe Embry (1), Ross Christy (2B), Brody Flack (2, 1 2B), Brody Gowan (2B), Taylen Johnson (2), Kodi Embry (1), and Kam Laws (2) as the rolled to a 15-1 win.
